Have you ever worked with a piece of cloth that you absolutely loved for so long that by the end you hate it?  I made the skirt and shirt, apron, headband and necklace.  This is my first hand-made Halloween costume and what seems more sensible than a Fifties Housewife?

Hrm, what should I make the darling husband for dinner tonight?

I figured I should make a real apron for use in the real life kitchen, thusly one side is plain cloth from an old sheet.

The flip side is "vintage" cotton from one of my Grandma's pillowcases.

The pearl necklace is polymer clay beads, covered in modge podge and clear nail polish and strung on embroidery thread.  Coffee stain for, uh, size comparison. Smiley  Next year, Halloween options include:

- Marge Simpson
- Wilma Flintstone
- Momma from Momma's Family (* most likely*)
