Hey everybody
I've read through the other threads here and many on the SNB forums, and I still can't get an answer to my problem with the ladylike lace gloves. After my first row of clusters, then you sc in the clusters and 2 sc in the ch 2 spaces. It tells me that I should then have 50 stitches, but I consistently have 45! I really thought I was following the pattern correctly, I've done it a few times up til that row and it always turns out the same even though I'm very careful to follow the directions (or so I thought!)

Am I just messing something up, or is this a problem someone else has had? Thanks

It took me plenty of times of frogging and redoing to get these to work for me.  I wasn't used to reading patterns and did get it to work eventually.

Sorry can't help with this specific one, but it's worth plodding on with them.

Do you have the newer edition?  If not you need the corrections from the stitch happens site.

Hope you work it out.

Do you have the correct number of clusters?  When I first tried this pattern, I accidentally reduced by 1 cluster each time.   Roll Eyes

hey crafty cloud. Have you checked to make sure that it's your edition of the book that has the errata pages?

I spent AGES trying to work out what was wrong with my pattern and I finally realised that my edition was correct! lol!!

I finally managed to get the gloves right, but it was a few years ago now, and I can't remember exactly what got me stuck, but just stick at it, they'll work out in the end - and they're so worth it (apparently - my house mate nabbed them as soon as they were finished!!  Grin)

There's an error in the pattern? Which edition are we talking about?
It's nice to know it's not my fault, though... Sad I actually had to rehash the entire pattern because the first glove I made was GIGANTIC. My fault for never checking the gauge.
