Little chunky houses. Signups CLOSED; send out Nov. 24

I wish I could do this one, but the timing isn't good for me. I've been thinking about making some of these houses. It looks like fun. I hope it works out well and there's a second swap when I have less going on.

As for me I was thinking of asking the hubby to cut a track in a piece of wood so that I could display and arrange and rearrange them without making a firm commitment on their order.

That's a great idea! I might pester my bloke for something like that once he's finished building his ship (a scale one, obviously!)

we should probably make them pretty straight up and down, and without eaves, right? since they're going to be attached (or lined) up next to each other...

Yes, that's a great point. Skip the eaves.

How about an eave but with a fence as a possible connection point instead of the side of the house. Just make the fence come to where the eave would be.

Bleh, I don't even know if that makes sense...Can't you all see inside my head and see what I'm looking at? 

I may have to play with houses this weekend to see if my nonsense is even do-able.

I think as long as your house has enough flat side with no pokey-outy parts, you will be fine.

I was also planning these as i fell asleep last night, but with a 4 month old around, i dont last long before i fall asleep!! so excited to create and swap these!!!!!

That makes perfect sense!! I had been wondering about the overall shape as well and what you are saying makes great sense to me!!  I have been wondering about how 3D I could go with it. Like everyone else I am staying up way to late thinking about little houses!
