hi.. does anyone know where there are any of these around here?? the only ones i know of are:

gosnells markets, thursday-sunday(hard to get a stall there though, its usually full with regulars)
maddington swap meet/markets - every sunday at the carpark. have sold here once, and going back again. im only a teen and getting rid of all my old stuff, and some of my handmade jewellery, everything was cheap and i got rid of alot of stuff.. made about 50$ in one morning. sellers 6am - 11am. buyers come at 7.
canningvale markets (reaaally big, lots of people!!! heaps of space..)
subiaco  markets - not sure if theyre still around??
midland markets - not sure about how to go about getting stalls, etc.
freo markets & E-shed - friday to monday (i think!)
magic markets - every 2nd sunday of the month..william st. perth ($20 for stall... although it is popular and lots of retro/indie designers go there)
armadale markets - jull st. i think.. in spring/summer time they get all these fresh produce and crafters out to have stalls i nthe middle of the street between the shops. dont think its started yet, although ive seen an ad asking for crafters.
perth markets - where the library/museum kinda is.. people set up stalls and sell 2nd hand things, on the pavement and also display their crafted items.
kalamunda markets - i heard about this, been there once i think. not sure about days, costs, etc.

also, every year theres that quilting/craft show where you can get a stall ..i think its usually in challenge stadium! and.. kelmscott show usually puts an ad out for crafters to get a stall up! very family oriented, and it helps to have cheaper wares cause everything at shows t hese days are so expensive! so if they score a great buy at the stalls, theyll keep going back.

add to the list if you know any more craft fairs/events/market places!  Smiley

wow, you're lucky in Perth, what a list!

You should start your own - some friends and I had our Slightly Twisted Craft Market on the weekend, it was nerve-wracking, but lots of fun (fully licencesed!), and everyone made a bit of extra money and we're doing it again on Sunday december 7 in Warburton, Victoria, if anyone would like to come.

The trickiest part was insurance, but we held the market in the backyard of a friend's shop, so that solved the problem.  My printing costs were covered, so it didn't work out to be too expensive, either.
Good luck.

Subiaco Markets don't exist anymore.

Made On The Left is on every now and then at the Hyde Park hotel (www.madeontheleft.com.au)

And there was one being held every 3 months or so at Perth Town Hall, that I can't remember the name of for the life of me. Well set up with a website, had to apply to be accepted for a stall. Apparently a lot of people sold out of their stuff quite early on at the last one.

There is a craft market held fortnightly in Summer (I think) outside Inglewood Library in Inglewood (Inglewood being part of the City of Stirling).

Yeah but the only themed kinda market is the magic markets - and they apparently arent on any more, though ginger's garage where it used to be has a garage sale now and then when you can get a stall! It's retro-indie  themed. Nothing like the one youre describing! a twisted market.. so cool! id love to come if i was in vic!  Cheesy

and yeah, me and a friend thought about starting our own... some one from the william st. collective [where the markets used to be, a group of wa designers that have shops on william street!] suggested we do that cause the magic markets werent going anymore.. hmm.. it sounds like a cool idea... i hope people would be interested!

thanks! i'll need it!  Grin hmm... insurance? wouldnt know much about that! i dont think we'd have any.. i guess we'd just hire out a stall or park area or something?

There's also the Guildford Town Hall markets.  It's on once a month, i think. There's a lot of nanna's with teacozies but there's also a young chick who does lampwork beads, they're really stunning!!
