So I decided to be a wind up doll this year... with the catch being working, windable parts!  At first I was just going to rig up a key that spun all night long with a clock motor.. but my boyfriend's brother reminded me of how easy it would be to make it with actual wind up toy parts, so I took his advice instead Smiley

I made everything for this costume except the wig and the white shirt.

These items include:
A corset-ish type top
a petticoat that I'm super proud of, but have no pics of it because it's pretty seethrough..
the skirt
the wind-able key

Anywho, here are the pictures!

And some videos of the moving key:

Actually on the costume.

And my makeup:

That is the coolest costume I think I have EVER seen! What did you end up using for the wind up parts?

What an innovative costume! I love that you actually made it a working part and you look absolutely adorable.

Okay so once again I am completely redoing my pictures. Got tired of photobucket, the only reason I used it was for here so I decided I will just use Craftster's photo uploader. So while I am switching over my photo links will be broken. Message me if there is a post you would like the pics for.

I went to the dollar store and bought a random wind up toy and took it apart and attached the little gold key thing I made onto it Smiley
