For Halloween I decided to dress up as an Edwardian Lady, This came to pass with the help of Two Butterick patterns (4254 and 4954), a parasol, many hours of sewing, a few hours worth of cursing and crying, a couple hours of seam-ripping and resizing and 2 minutes worth of pinning back excess fabric with an antique-looking brooch.

The Button I covered in the same fabric as the lining

Antique Lace I applied to the sleeves

Beautiful work!  I hope you get another chance to wear it; it sure doesn't belong in the closet for ever and ever.

Wow, it is really an honor to be compared to such tall strapping women as Peta Wilson and Nicole Kidman - I'm barely 5'5" though XD.
I've never actually seen the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but I want to see it  - I hear Sean Connery stars in it  Grin I have a weird little crush on him.
