This is so nice! The refurbished valance idea is brilliant and I love the shelving SO much! How is it attached to the ceiling? I have often dreamed about adding a nursery to our little house (someday) and this is the room of my dreams.

The shelving is attached with anchors, loops and cable fasteners.  Here's a close-up shot, if it helps!

Hubby laughs because the weight the cables and fasteners will hold is upwards of a few hundred pounds.   I wanted to make sure it wouldn't fall if a certain someone ever tugged on it, though!

nice room, the colours are great and i love that the shelves are disguised so well. it's great to have things tucked away out of sight.
my walking-baby-mama-eye immediately went to all the things my girl would attack and destroy though. you have some baby proofing ahead of you in a few months mama! have fun  .
