mr.sweets4ever and I recently completed our biggest project ever:

Well, that project needs a place to stay, so here's what we put together our little man!

The curtains were actually tablecloths I bought from Ebay for our wedding last year. A little trimming, a few seams and presto!

I love his closet. I want to live in it.

The details...Here are some
before pictures of the room. It was previously a pretty basic, adult bedroom.

Here are some work-in-progress photos of the focal wall. It took me approximately one week to complete all of the colors (due to taping & drying times for each color). It (along with the ceiling fixture) was 110% inspired by this random stranger on Flickr -- everyone should go give him props!!

Tape tape tape...

First color...

Second color...

Third color...

Fourth color & complete (but still wet)...

Shelving unit designed by me and built by us!

See those little elephants on the bottom shelf?
alwaysinmyroom made them!!

She also made these super cute wall plaques from book covers!

On the chair is a blankie made by
batgirl!

We didn't want to use a padded bumper on his crib, so I refurbished it into a valance and lightplate cover for the room. I still have some fabric left -- I might make a few pillows for the chair or floor.

Here's a random dangly mobile thing I made for above his changing table. It keeps him semi-entertained.
