This is my first challenge entry!  The costume isn't entirely complete, either, as our plans got canceled, and we didn't get to dress up, but it was all but hemmed, I figured I'd post it, anyway!  The top uses this pattern: http://www.mccallpattern.com/item/M5039.htm??tab=dresses&page=6, subbing elastic and bias tape for their hem finishes, but I did the bottom without a pattern...it's just two skirts, one slightly longer than the other, and then it's pinned up in the seams of the top skirt.  Hope you like it!



(Oh, in case you're curious: it's made out of 5 yds. of rayon challis, and that bit of white at the bottom is my tiered twirly skirt, which I used as a petticoat for a bit of poof)

I was looking through all the Halloween costumes and saw this one had no comments!    It looks very pretty. The top portion has a very summery kind of feel.    I think you could wear it as a "regular" dress.

wow I actually really like this.  I'd even wear it out just for kicks.!

Aw, thank you both!  I actually made it that way so that I could let down the gathers and wear it as a summer dress.  Although, I must say, I'm rather thrilled that the gathers came out that well.
