A friend of mine commissioned two pairs of wings for a costumed charity event she attended this weekend with a friend of hers.  They went as angels, and while I don't have pics of their whole costumes (which I didn't make) I do have pictures of the wings.  The black pair is my favorite, of the two.

And, because the white (clear, iridescent) pair doesn't actually look pink, in real life, only when they're over white and being photographed, I took a picture of the two together, this is much more accurate to what the color on the second pair looks like when they're worn:

They're made out of 14 gauge galvanized steel, wrapped in brown floral tape (for both) vinyl (black and clear, respectively) and cellophane (clear and iridescent, respectively), along with a healthy dose of heat and fire to give the edges a nifty, organic sort of look.  Thanks for looking!  Feedback is always appreciated!

Aw, thanks!  They're actually stupidly easy to make...they just take time.  I wrote a tutorial way back when, it's hosted here:  http://www.freewebs.com/faeriemuse/
