Otherwise known as Jack Skellington ^-^

My sons new favorite movie and so it was simple to find out what he wanted to be for halloween this year.

I set about thrifting to find a suit, but only found the top. Lucked into some pants from a pirates outfit with
tattered bottoms and decided that was best.

I painted the pinstripes on both the jacket and pants trying to keep from making straight lines. I picked up a bit of stiff felt and cut out a bat bow tie and hot glued it to a safety pin to make it easy to wear and keep it upright. The face paint was a mess, but fun, and he was giggling the whole time. He kept asking to look in the mirror. ^-^

The first night he wore it, we went to a zoo trick or treating party, we sprayed just his hair, but since it was so thick, lots had trouble deciding who he was. He was asked if he was the Joker, or if he was BeetleJuice, but several shouted "Jack!" as he walked by.

So for the real night I picked up a wig cap, though it was supposed to be white and ended up being beige so I ended up patting face paint all over it. Made sure it stuck to his head and away we went! (This was the Moooommmm, no more pictures, lets go! look, but its the only one from then that wasnt blurry! one move and that whole suit was a mess of blur. lol)

I got lots of thumbs ups from teens and knew I'd hit it this time. Next year....who knows, but at least this year I knew he felt like the character he wanted to be. He cackled and said Trick or Treat like you'd think he was Jack.

Thanks for looking!

Awesome! You're a great mom and this costume kicks ass! If I'd seen him, I'd have been one of the teens aiming a thumbs up his way!

That's probably one of the best Jack costumes ever, actually. Excellent job!
