And rather than spend a small fortune on mittens... I made some... out of an old outgrown sweatshirt... with sleeves so they would actually stay on my toddler!  The entire story, and tute, can be found on my craft blog.  Go check it out if you'd like!  Here are a few pictures...

I was thinking the same thing I remember when I was a kid that you were always adjusting your mittens trying to stuff them back up your sleeve. I was thinking about using the cuff off some socks.
