Great costumes!  I just looked at your profile and saw that you're in Amherst.  Do you go to Hampshire by any chance, because I do.  If you do, I'm surprised I didn't see you this Halloween, but it looks like you had a good one!

Ha! Actually, yes. I graduated from Hampshire last year, and my housemates and my boyfriend are all Div III and Div II students. So yeah, all those pictures were taken at Hampshire Halloween  Grin

Thats awesome! What materials did you use for the masks?
The masks are made with a papier mache base and then I used craft pumpkins for the backs of the heads and yarn, felt, fake fur, sculpey, etc for the details. If you're interested, I wrote up a tutorial for the papier mache on my blog here: http://sjeanetteclark.blogspot.com/2008/11/mask-making-tutorial.html, but I'm planning on making another large mask soon after Thanksgiving and I'm planning on taking more process pictures for a better tutorial.

Where the Wild things Are is hands down my favorite book of all time. So, needless to say, I wanted to cry when I saw these pictures. Awesome job! You all look fabulous!
