I sit here wondering what type of person/personality thinks up something like this?!!  You wear the vulva so well!  I love the hood.  Very well made costume!  You should have won first place!

Crocheting is like prostitution.  First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.  Maybe that is why they call us Hookers?

i don't know how you managed to look cute and sweet while wearing a giantic vulva. and THANK YOU for not putting any hair on the costume. that would've taken it to a whole new level that i'm just not ready for.

ps. can NOT believe you didn't win the costume contest. you need to go to a different party next year, clearly!

This is brilliant! I love it! At first I couldn't tell how you'd wear it, but your placement is very clever! Well done!

My only criticism is that you call it a vagina instead of a vulva (the vagina is the actual birth canal), but since everyone else does it, it's practically a losing battle. Wink

Thanks for bringing this up actually. While I was walking down the street I actually had a woman yell at me, "OMG,  a giant vulva!" I think it was the only person of the night who got it corretct. I figured also it's a losing battle Smiley

My favorite was when people asked, "Are you a vagina?" I usually responded with, "No I"m a clitoris, and these are my vulva." Or... "Did you seriously have to ask that"

Haha! My friend who TA'd a women's health class corrected me a couple of years ago, and we've made it our quest to bring "vulva" into common use. You're right, though - everyone says "vagina," and we're even taught "vagina" in school, so I think we've got a long way to go.  Smiley

I think you should have won the costume contest! There's no justice!

Hahah.. When my mum saw it she suggested that I put yarn around the edge. I thought it might take it to a whole new level, too.

Aww.. Everyone is being so sweet. I think more women should be comfortable dresssing as a pretty vuluva! Or maybe I am a wacko Smiley. I personally think I didn't win the costume contest because people are more willing to accept a bosomy woman as sexy, than a sexual organ Wink. A rant for another day.

Maybe I can win this time? *shamless plug* Vote!

Are you talking about the village in NYC? I've been to that parade so many years in a row and so many people have dressed as penises, but I have yet to see a single vagina. Love it. And I agree, it looks great without hair, lol.  Grin
