"Easy now fuzzy little man peach. You ever drunk Bailey's from a shoe?"

Well I was going to enter my costume but I was so busy preparing Mr Loops outfit and making food and whatnot that it never got properly finished, and I looked hideous anyways, and I'm sure noone knew who I was anyways!!  So here is Mr Loops as Old Gregg instead Cheesy  Unfortunately none of our friends at the party watch The Mighty Boosh (fools that they are) so had no idea who he was supposed to be, but they loved the costume regardless!!

The outfit wasn't wholly crafted, but here's the details:
Seaweed wig - made from various colours of felt all sewn together, took freakin ages!
Jacket - tuxedo jacket already owned, sprayed with silver, sparkly, and green spray paints
Shirt - cheappo bought one
Tie - already owned
Glove - exfoliating glove from the chemists (he should technically have a webbed left hand but I didn't have time to deal with that Sad)
Tutu - made from tulle net stuff and elastic, I think he loved wearing it, I don't think his dad was amused seeing him in a tutu and tights though...
Tights - cheappo ones we found that have a kinda scaly look to them!

Check out the tiny Baileys in a shoe that we found in Sainsburys to go with his outfit!!!

"I've got a mangina! I'M OLD GREEEEEEEEGG!"

Apologies for the pants shot above, the mangina light was probably best shot from through the tutu rather than a direct look at it but he insisted on flashing me!

Old Gregg chatting with a zombie hobo at the party.

Hope you like it anyways, Mr Loops isn't a fan of fancy dress parties, but he did LOOOVE his outfit Cheesy

He wanted to wear his costume to the supermarket today but he was worried him and his glowing man bits might get arrested, lol!!

OMG I am reliving the night all over again (not good) ha ha ha........:-)

I know eh, it was a good evening albeit very drunky!  How was your head Heff??

....did he do any watercolors? Total win.

He had planned to do some piccies, or at least have a sheet of beige paper so that he could show people a picture that's as close as you can get to baileys without your eyes getting wet Grin  But he was too lazy in the end and just stuck with his baileys in a shoe!

Love it! He looks just like him, and I love the mangina!

I was totally shocked at how well it worked in the end, especially the wig and the jacket, he totally could have just been caught on a fishing hook!!  After a few drinks we made our friends all sit through that Boosh episode just so that they could appreciate his costume better Wink

Incidentally, I'm still totally amazed that womens tights managed to fit Mr Loops given that he's 6'7"!!!

That's funny! At the Halloween party we went to, we were joking about Old Gregg, so I'm surprised no one knew about it! Let's drink some Baileys!

Lol, I know what you mean, one of our fave shows in fact is the Trailer Park Boys which is Canadian, but no one here has even slightly heard of it, so we've had to educate them and share our dvds around Wink  We defo need to educate some of our friends to the delights of the boosh and Sir Gregg the Manfish though I think!!

Lol that's totally my favourite line, I randomly like to say it to people with my attempt at his voice, but obv get some very strange looks...

Oooooh now I wanna see your friends' Old Gregg costume!!

Trailer Park Boys is ace. FACT.

Photos of my friend's costume as requested, because a) it's a great way to put off doing my psychology essay and b) staying up to watch the election is making me sleepy with the time zone rubbishness.

I'm so pleased we managed to find this facepaint. Like I said, the whole thing was a bit last minute (i.e. 5pm on Friday he decided not to go Jerome from Flight of the Conchords after all) so I ended up running all over Glasgow trying to find face paint, a wig, a tutu and a suitable jacket. I gave up pretty early if I'm honest... right about when I found this.

The monstrosity that was his 5-minute wig. I basically shredded a greenish/turquoise dress we bought from a charity shop, and a bin liner, and knotted them together along on long strip. Add a whole bunch of bobby-pins and you have a wig guaranteed to fall off at some point. And lo! it soon did.

Just for kicks...

Dave sulking because I refused to put his face paint on him. It smelt funny. (And the other Dave looking like a VERY ladylike Goldilocks.... Roll Eyes )

Half-finished Old Gregg, David Bowie (minus eye-patch) and myself as Baby Bear (again, half-finished - I hadn't sewn the ears on yet!)

Like I said, your version puts ours to shame! We're not the most organised flat - maybe next year we'll get sorted BEFORE the actual day!  Roll Eyes
