So, I'm giving myself the title of the queen of the costume changes!  Not only did I have 3 costumes lined up this year for Halloween, but I managed to whip up 4 costumes within 3 hours of running around like cuh-raaaay-zee!

You may have seen my shark attack costume.  I managed to stick with that for about 1/2 of the day when I decided it was time for another costume.  Into my head popped an idea and it was off from there!

So here it is:  I did most of the creative thinking and gathering for both of these costumes, though the Karate Kid was waaay easier!  (explanations of the costume below pictures!)

Mr. Miyagi tending to his bonsai!

Mr. Miyagi and his protege, Daniel san.

Johnny of the Cobra Kai and Mr. Miyagi

Mr. Miyagi and Daniel san practicing the crane!

Mr. Miyagi
Beard/Moustache:set which I trimmed and painted to be Miyagi color, Bald Head:  all bald caps at EVERY Halloween stores were sold out, so I got a swim cap and covered it with makeup, hair:  white faux fur cut to shape and colored with black hair spray, headband: t-shirt strip I cut and then drew (exact from movie) and colored on with Sharpie, makeup: just bronzer HEAVILY applied, Asian eyes: band-aided me eyes so they were slanted (hope nobody takes offense to that!), clothing: Miyagi style shirt from Goodwill and Thai fisherman pants from my housemate, props:  Bonsai tree which was actually a juniper bush I picked up from Walmart and chopsticks from my friend's kitchen

People didn't even recognize me!!!

Karate Kid & Johnny from Cobra Kai

Borrowed both karate outfits from a friend.  We got chamois mits and wrote "wax on" on one and "wax off" on the other for Daniel.  My friend who was Johnny was just a natural look-alike for Johnny!

Fantastic reactions all night long!  We bought three bottles of sake and passed it to everyone while reenacting scenes from the movie all night long!
