Allo Cheesy

I run the halloween party at our work place every year, at which we have a costume contest and pumpkin carving contest. I was kind of stuck on ideas this year, since all my costumes are either reeeaally gory or, well, Rocky Horror gear and therefore not at all work appropriate. I always bring Day of the Dead bread for my contribution to the potluck, so last night I decided I should let that be the inspiration for my costume. I wired up some silk flowers to bobbypins, styled my Magenta wig (see, a little RHPS snuck in there!) into a loose sort of updo, and then got up stupid-early this morning to paint my face. My "look" was inspired by Sylvia Ji's Catrina paintings Smiley

It was a simple costume but I really like how it turned out ^_^

Update: I made the boy up too to match for a house party we went to on Halloween night ^_^

That's great!  It doesn't look at all like you did it last minute or anything.  The best kind are the simple ones that don't look simple.

I really love your costume.  The face paint is awesome.  Your eyes just pop out!
