My church has a fund-raising auction every year, and they ask parishioners to donate items. I figured, what the heck! I can make something that people would pay money for, and I was really on a poppet-kick.  Grin  (Join the poppet-along here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=205341.7890 )

So, here is the pair of poppets I made for the occasion. I wanted to keep them simple and cute since I don't know who will take them home, so, no eyelashes or really funky hair. The dresses are from scraps of fabric leftover from making purses.  Wink I just used the fabulous easy-peasy dress instructions. Funny sidenote about the eyes: the green eyes started out light blue. When I glued on the eyelids, and wrapped the fabric around the back, the yellow fabric showed through. So, the eyes were part blue and part green...I just glued a little more fabric to the back of the eyes and made them all green...with a cool texture.  Cheesy

Here they are before hair:

And, the 'after' pictures:

Thanks for looking!

EDIT (11/03/08): The pictures don't really show the true color of their hair  Tongue, probably because of the direct sunlight... the dark hair is a very neutral brown and the light hair is a really light blonde.

It's amazing what a difference hair makes! I like the fabric you used for their dresses. Cool story about the eyes.

They look lovely. And the hair and dresses make the girl. I would have trouble choosing.

Thanks everybody!  Cheesy *gush*
I'm really happy with how they turned out, even if they have a ton of hair.  Wink
