I guess I will start by saying HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I'm hoping to see some Halloween inspired yarns, unfortunately I myself don't have any. I have been racking up yarns over the last few weeks, here are some of my favorites! No Yardages, weights, or names yet so I will just number them. Sorry. Sad

1. From a great batt by YarnZombie on etsy. LOVE Jackie's roving balls and now batts! This has seriously become my favorite yarn I have spun to date! Plied with acrylic slightly fuzzy novelty yarn.

2. BFL I dyded, spun into a chunky 2 ply, and am now knitting into a simple scarf for my momma!

3. Spun from "Cutey" by Funky Carolina. A wonderful BFL Single.

4. A very finely spun 2 ply from Black Orchid and Glade in Merino/Silk dyed by Pigeon Roof Studios on Etsy

5. Hobbledehoy Batts! Plied with metallic thread, so soft and squishy!

6. Another batt set from YarnZombie!

7. "Beach" from FeltStudioUK on etsy.

8. And finally I took my All Spun Up Ravelry Spin Along Fiber, ran it through the drumcarder with some Gold and Copper glitz and Ta-da beautiful swirling single!!!

Happy Halloween!

pmpknpunk - I love them! Especially #8 - it reminds me of the colored corn-on-the-cob that you find in the fall.

I've been working on my first-ever batch of tussah silk this week. It's a blend of natural-colored tan and brown. I decided to spin it disgustingly thin (at least by my standards!) in order to make this scarf from Vogue Knitting's Crocheted Scarves book:

The original roving:

And the finished yarn!

Can't wait to see the rest!

Your yarns are all so beautiful, ladies! I can't wait till I can contribute to fiber fridays. I was able to get a ridiculous deal on an old wheel, but I can't for the life of me figure it out how to use it. I'll be taking it to my lys, and hopefully can give handspun yarn for christmas this year!

As usual, great yarns this week! No yarn from me this week Sad But I just got a drum carder yesterday and will be dyeing tons of wool soon to be carded...Yay!

Pmpknpunk - the fiber you used for #8 makes me drool and it looks great spun up!

Grayling40 - can't wait to see the scarf!...for me that would be quite the ambitious project lol

Noodle Princess - love those little bits of blue! I need to try to make some corespun yarn, I love the look of it...I hope it's not too tricky Wink

Happy Halloween!  Cheesy
Pmpknpunk So many great yarns! Cool to see the Beach batts spun up ;-)
I also really like #4 the black orchid 2 ply. And #8 is amazing, both in yarn and batt form.

Ive spun up the Moonlight batts from last Friday.
69 yards of Merino wool, british Texel wool, Alpaca, Viscose, sequins and 2 different types of silver sparkle (firestar and lurex, hard to capture in the photos) plied with nylon thread and little glassbeads.

Apple picking - 342 yards of Romney and Merino cross wool spun straight from the lock (no combing or carding) to keep some of the great texture.

Pumpkin Pie - 56 yards, Romney & Merino wool and Viscose plied with a matching novelty thread and glassbeads.

Halloween - 87 yards, handdyed cotswold lamb wool, corespun straight from the lock

Coastal - 124 yards, handdyed Romney wool & Cotswold locks spun straight from the lock, then plied with a strong nylon thread and little shells
