I made this for Halloween last year and they were such a big hit I had to make them again this year!  I brought them to a potluck at work and everybody loved them.  I used a dark fudge chocolate cake mix to make the cupcakes, and I frosted them with vanilla frosting dyed with a jar of Wiltons orange food coloring/gel stuff.  I then used a tube of black decorators gel to draw rings on the tops of the cupcakes, then dragged a toothpick down from the center out to create the "web".  So easy, so fun, so yummy!






These were last years cupcakes.  The orange wasn't as vibrant, but I think the webs came out a little neater.

These are the best kind of cupcakes - yummy and impressive looking but still easy to make.
