Here is the other tee shirt quilt I made.  I have attached the tutorial by Threadbangers... it is amazing.  And it is o so useful!  It folds up into a nice neat little bookbag and you can even make a pillow out of the scraps.

The front of the pack where it ties together...

The back with the straps...

I made mine nice and big so it can fit a lot of friends.  You can use fronts, backs and fronts, mix it up and cut some tees at half size... the possibilities are endless.  Smiley

Crafts make us feel rooted, give us a sense of belonging and connect us with our history.  Our ancestors used to create these crafts out of necessity, and now we do them for fun... to express ourselves.

So why buy what you can craft?  Smiley

I really like this (does it have any "backing" or "batting"?).  Wish I'd seen it before I cleaned out my closet!  I have such a sentimental attachment to many of my T-shirts, but once they became either too small, torn, or stained someplace ...I unwillingly tossed them all out.  This would've been a perfect project!

You can put the kittens in the oven; but that don't make 'em biscuits.

This is great.. I have a stash of old t-shirts (from school activities, work related, travels, etc...) I've wanted to make a quilt out of it but needed it to be useful... Thanks for sharing...
