I can see my gallery with the pictures, but can't seem to post any new ones. Cry I login to PH and it's as if I don't exist. It's been a while since I posted so maybe something's different. Or, I'm just being dense, but would really appreciate any help.

Hey Monette!

Can you try clearing your cookies? Basically you'll need to remove anything that's related to Craftster.  You can get instructions based on your browser here: http://www.aboutcookies.org/Default.aspx?page=2

Also, if you could clear your cache following these instructions.

AOL:
From the 'My AOL' menu, on the AOL toolbar,
Click 'Preferences', Then Click 'WWW'
Look for the 'Temporary Internet Files'
Click 'Delete Files', then click 'OK'.;
That should clear your cache and give you a fresh start.

Internet Explorer:
Up top in the pull-down menus (File, Edit, Tools etc.), click Tools, then 'Internet Options'  This brings up a dialog with 7 tabs across the top (General, Security, Content...)
Click 'General;, the look for 'Temporary Internet Files'
Click 'Delete Files', check check off 'Delete all offline
content', then click 'OK' then click 'OK'.
Click 'OK' again and this should clear all cached pages.

Netscape:
Up top in the pull-down menus (File, Edit, etc.), click Edit,
then 'Preferences'.
Find 'Advanced'. Click the + sign in front of the word, 'advanced'.
You'll see 'Cache, Proxies, etc.........'
Click 'Cache'
On the right you'll see, buttons labeled 'Clear Memory Cache' and 'Clear
Disk Cache'
First, click 'Clear Memory Cache' when the "?" dialog appears click 'OK'
Then click 'Clear Disk Cache', when the "?" dialog appears, click 'OK'.
Click 'OK' again to close the Cache Dialog box.
This will clear all old info from your browser and the error should be
finished.

Firefox:
Go to Tools
Options
Advanced, Network. There should be a clear cache button there.

or...

Firefox version is 1.5.0.8
Privacy
Cache
Then "Clear Cache"

After that just try again and let me know what happens. Smiley

Thanks jungrrl for the reply. Sorry about getting it in the wrong place Embarrassed

I just cleared the cookies and the temp files - no luck.

When I go to my picture hosting, I see my user gallery with my pictures. It shows the sort and email options and reports 1 unregistered user viewing. I'm guessing that's me.

There isn't an option to upload that I can see (maybe my error). If I click to login and enter my username and password (even though I'm already logged into Craftster), a redirect screen comes back and informs me "Login Successful" then takes me to the main photohosting page. Still no way to upload a photo.

I've got a sinking feeling this is a problem with my browser somehow as it isn't the first time the whole cookie/cache/popup thing has caused me problems. I have had to abandon visiting several websites that I can no longer use or view properly because of it.

Any advice you have would wonderful as no one, least of all me, has been able to figure it out. If no glory, I can always link to my blog images. Roll Eyes

I'm probably not much help but I'll ask Leah.  What browser do you use?

Thanks for trying to help, jungrrl.

Either Internet Explorer or Firefox - it's the same. I changed browsers just now and checked to be sure. Same for other sites; mostly shopping carts don't work or I'm told to enable cookies to continue. That never works either.

The problem seems to be with my system setup and I keep hoping that if I ask enough people that someone with vast computing knowledge will have heard of it. Must just be me and five other people in the country with the problem Smiley

Thanks for the time and effort and for passing it on. Thanks to Leah to for considering it as well.

I'll just keep working around it! Wink

Hey jungrrl - I've got it!

It was my firewall settings, not the browser. I've already uploaded a photo so it's working now.

In case you need it for the future, the software firewall setting for cookie handling was too restrictive so that was overridding the browser settings.

Thanks!
