hello
I think all of this stuff is really cool, but i am just curious as to the "types" or "genres" that there are i know of babydoll, fruit, goth etc. Can somone list the names and descriptions? Thanks

I can list a couple of genres ummm:
gosu rori ,subsects of :
dandy -like a victorian gentleman
kodona-little victorian boy
sweet loli-victorian look, sweet pinks pastels
gothic lolita-darker loli, blackXwhite
classic lolita-florals, softer more subdued colors
elegant gothic aristocrat-an older victorian
country loli= my personal fav., gingham straw hats victorian

others are :
decora- crazy piled on stuff a very " decorated look"

cyberpunk- anything futuristic robot-y including anything with wire, vinyl

neutrals- very neutral colors as a kind of counter to decora

yamanba- dark dark tans and bleached blonde hair

kogal- lighter tans, usually light brown hair

ganguros- kind of inbetweeners of yamanba and kogals

senta- the male version of ganguros

rockabilly/punk (think Guitar Wolf)

visual kei- those who dress up like their fave j-rockers or just like to look like a rock star sorta...I dunno that much about this one.^_^;;;
and just so some of you guys know FRUiTS isn't a genre, its just the name of the mag  Wink
If I can 'member more I'll post!

Kigurumi:literally means stuffed animal but is usually when one dresses up in an animal suit ( winnie the pooh, hello kitty) as opposed to clothing  Cheesy

Oh no... haha.. this swap is killer. Japanese Streets are a huge inspiration for me (When I actually TRY to put together an outfit, it comes out looking like one of a few sub-genres... well it would, if I wasn't quite so un-Japanese.. ha).  The problem comes in my total lack of sewing skills :S  I suppose I could do my usual type of reconstructed accessories... and perhaps some re-done clothing (without sewing..  Undecided ).
Hm.. well I have two days to decide at least.. haha.
(Also: awesome awesome links! I'm having a field day with them  Cheesy)
