I think I like this technic, it's very liberating. Next time I'll try it with several colours and with seed beads.  Smiley

these are gorgeous!  i love the color, and the patterning is so unique!
....do you mind sharing a bit how you did them?  you say "free from" so did you just start with one of the spirals and go from there?

Thank you.  Smiley I did two spiral medallions (spelling? ) per armwarmer and then joined them  and went from there by improvisation. I've just learned the bullion stitch so that I could incorporate some and now I want to learn new stitches to add texture to my next project!

They're not totally crochet, though, as the back is knitted 2/2 ribbing.

Ooooohhh, I LOVE these. I agree, freeform is definitely a lot of fun, and the results can be pleasant or ...not... so good. These are definitely pleasing!
