OMGosh...what a good idea and a very cute bag!  How'd you do it...I'm guessing you kept the backing on it so it wouldn't be all sticky to work with?  Great work!

Hi Runnermom100863,

Thanks for the compliment. My mom loved the bag so much that she took it right away!! The material is quite sticky but I used this stuff called sewer's aid. You can get it at Jo-Ann's or other fabric stores. It helps the material to glide across the machine and I also rub some of it under the presser foot and don't forget to rub off the excess on the surface of the machine. It has silicone in it. Another option is to use the sewer's aid and use a teflon or roller foot.

I think this is an awesome idea! I never would have know what it was made of- you did an excellent job on the sewing too!

Ooooh, yeah...I didn't think of that...just imagine the possibilities of pretty lunch bags.  It does seem a shame to hide the many colorful designs of shelf paper away in a drawer, doesn't it?  Roll Eyes
