Purple is my favorite color but my casual winter coat is orange.  Found this hand-painted wool yarn at the LYS and it fit the bill perfectly for a winter hat.  I'm a sucker for cables so here's my creation.

so what do ya think?

really nice, I don't normally do cables in multicolor, but that looks much nicer than I'd have imagined. Now I want one Smiley

I just tried cables for the first time and loved them...much easier than you would think.  Designing a cabled hat though?  Very impressive.  It's really beautiful.
