Here is the whole lot, what I understood from my partner was that her style was a kind of Tribal Gothic Fusion, so I made everything in a deep Sangria color with a black trim. (it looks lighter in the pictures though) I made a face veil and a dance veil. The dance veil has a rhinestone skull on one of the corners. When I did a "test run" with this veil at class the skull always ended up draped over the front of my right hand, it looked nice.  Smiley

I included a CD I came across for a bonus item and packed everything with a dozen glittery black roses. I got really into the Gothic theme...lol

here's the iced-out jolly roger I mentioned.

Here is an action shot of the face veil, It's slipping on me because it's not tied tight enough on me. I didn't want to knot the ribbons in the back because she can do that to her liking and then just slip it over her head when she wears it. Disregard the fact that I'm on my phone, my DH called from work during the photo shoot, lol.

I had fun crafting for you Isqueak! Hope you enjoy everything!

And thanks Star217 for organizing! Grin

Really odd that mine was sent back to you.  Maybe there was a new guy at the PO?  Smiley  Just let me know the DC# when you resend and I will keep an eye on it.

So, I received from paperwings a few days ago but haven't got round to posting pictures yet because I'm a naughty craftster.

I received a lovely belt made from a lovely greeny/blue wool with great tassles

and a great little box. The colours are fantastic together and there is a bejewelled  'bellydance' on the top. Its really cool Smiley

Lovely belt, paperwings.

Thought I'd post a pic of part of what I sent to Star217 until she gets a chance to post.  I sent a turkish vest/belt set made of can tabs.  I also sent a can tab flower pin, remnant of bright pink fabric and some ribbon, and a couple old foreign coins I had from India, but I didn't take pics of any of that stuff.  (I forgot I also sent about 4 pair of star patterned shoelaces I thought she could use for lacing up the vest and belt if she chose to.)

For more pics, see my blog here:  http://mieljolie.blogspot.com/2008/11/turkish-style-vest-and-belt.html

I'm anxiously awaiting my package from Star217.  It should arrive by tomorrow, hopefully.

Anyone know if our organizer was going away for the holiday? Haven't heard from her since November 21st.  Undecided

She never mentioned going away.  I'm her partner and haven't heard anything from her since the 21st as well.  She was going to remake her swap package that was apparently lost somewhere, but she has not replied to my PM.  Hope she's okay.

I opened a help ticket and contacted a mod, but hopefully we'll hear from Star within a week before further action is taken.  Undecided

I also noticed that you don't have this swap listed under the swaps you've participated in. You might want to open a help desk ticket about that.  Shocked

I've received from my wonderful angel, Spotnik!!!

She sooooo spoiled me! Anyway, here's the loot!

I had suggested a tribal coin bra since I don't fit into any of the ones I've seen for sale, and she came through with this beauty!

Its so pretty! The pic doesn't do it justice...the amount of thought and detail that went into it's design is amazing, and it must have taken ages to sew all of that on!!! It's very my style too, I'm a beach bum and I love shells! All of the "coins" are made from shells. And it fits perfect!!!

Beautiful long silky veil, its a little heavy, so I wear it as a wrap skirt! This is the coolest fabric ever!!

Then, she went above and beyond and included some matching jewelry!

Awesome hair sticks that match the bra!

Some of the most delicate little bracelets I have ever seen, that have a nice jingle to them!

and a matching necklace! Yay! The look is complete!

Thank you so much Spotnik! You definitely went above and beyond the call of a swap angel. You spoiled me rotten, I feel like the luckiest girl on Craftster! Thanks again! Grin Grin Grin

I'm headed to the beach this weekend of the weather is good for some action shots of me in my costumes, I'll update with another pic if they come out good!

As I told Saturn in my note to her - once I started crafting belly dance stuff, I just couldn't stop.   Cheesy

I received from my swap angel, spooky.kitty today!  Yay!!  I must say she's a girl after my own heart.  Smiley

The box contained 5 silver wrapped packages and a note with 5 hints.

So, here they are in order:

1) "Ting ting a ling ling"

These first items made me giggle.  "Dos Equis" bottlecap zills.  Very cute and good beer, too.  Smiley

2) "Aren't flowers lovely?"

They are.  It's a lovely hibiscus flower hair pin with what else but dangling tabs for my hair.  Note the beads and a pretty bird hanging at the end which are a nice touch.

3) "Shimmy Shimmy"

A very clever bottlecap/tab crocheted belt.  I really like how it hangs.  She really needs to show me how she made this.  I would love something like this to add to to bottom edge of my top so that it hangs down my back and chest on my blue/orange outfit.  I can't crochet worth a darn, though.  It's great.

4) "LOL I bet you always need these"

Sure do, always!  Extra tabs and a spare bottlecap.  Woo yah

5) "Last minute quickie"

Beautiful shimmery navy blue fabric that is the perfect size for a hip scarf.  Thank you!

Thank you, spooky.kitty.  I really appreciate all the effort in this.  You did a fantastic job.
