I saw a cute kitchen done with a cherry theme.  Mostly white, sparked with red cherries and green leaves.  I know Mary Englebright has been done to death, but I still like the liveliness of her style.  Bright colors, checkerboards, polkadots, cherries, flowers all combined.

Ours is green apples... the color scheme is black, white, and apple green.

I have also seen a paris themed kitchen that was really cute - black, white, silver, pink, and you could put up sayings in french...

My mom has sunflowers as her theme.  it's nice and cheery.  Just pick something you like and work from there.   You could do something like 50's diner, or anything at all.

i have a black, white and red kitchen and i love it! All my appliances are stainless or black, my walls are red, cabinets are white, floor is black and white checkered and the countertops are little white tiles with black subway tiles around the edges. Now all i need is that red kitchen aid stand mixer that has been calling to me for all these years.... *sigh*

But hearing ruby_soho's black white and apple green kitchen makes me want to throw it all over. That sounds fantastic, and i really am getting tired of red. I may *ahem....borrow* your idea when i move. ;.)

I have but one suggestion: please, please, PLEASE don't put those little fat chefs in your kitchen! I'm not sure who thought them up, but some things are meant to be kept inside.  Cheesy

I don't know if cute is quite the right word but I love our kitchen.  We have a red fridge (I'm from Wisconsin so we call it Bucky Badger Red but it's like China Red) and pale jade green walls.  Then I have a shadow box with Oriental coins, copper pans (some shaped like koi), Chinese paper cut outs in red paper framed, etc...  The cabinets are all painted white on the outside and the green on the inside.  Then the green is also painted in kanji characters on the doors and drawer fronts.  The pulls are twig-like.  We have all white and black appliances just to ground things and also to make it easy to switch themes if we ever want to.
