I received from calluna on Saturday!  Unfortunately I was running errands and didn't get pictures taken before sundown (you know, 4:30  Angry Angry) And then Sunday I was a waste and napped most of the day to try to get over a headache.  But today! Today I took pics during my lunch break. Smiley

First things first, the note. Cheesy

Then a cross-stitched bookmark (on eeny weeny cross-stitch fabric!)

It says "If I want to hear the pitter patter of little feet in the house, I'll put shoes on the cat." Tongue

Bad sperm cat toys!

In the egg

She is too beautiful to play

He would rather cuddle

Yea, he's cute, but he's a brat! He peed on the fabric left in the box calluna sent (I guess because he smelled her dog  Huh) and then I put all the stuff back IN the box without realizing what had happened until today.  Fun.  Roll Eyes

Next, we have pasties!
These are the plastic ones calluna talked about in the swap thread

Close-up Cheesy

And peacock feathers and beads!

Close-up

Fraggle Rock book!

AND she sent me a Naught Crosswords book! It was in the other room when I was taking pictures.  I'd already started working on some Cheesy

Margaret Sanger / Reproductive Freedom Shrine!

I like the broken clock in the corner. Cheesy

Open, with a tiny candle

I don't know if you can see but there's a string of condoms underneath her!

The back

I like this a lot. Smiley  Along the edges it says "Thank you for being responsible with your fertility and choosing to wait for children until you are ready."  Definitely good for the boy to hear since he really wants kids (although not yet!) and sometimes get a little worried that I mean never instead of later. Tongue

So, that's a metric shit ton of crafty awesomeness!  Shocked  AND if I'm not mistaken, she's gonna send me something else that she couldn't get printed in time.  Man, I don't know if I sent enough now! Calluna you were an AWESOME partner! Thank you so much!!  Kiss

Oh, and because I really like this picture, here is a sneak peek of one of the things in calluna's package (she received today)

I'm not in this swap, but I am really enjoying everyone's stuff. The Margaret Sanger shrine is absolutely beautiful and inspiring.

Yeeeah, I received today, myself, and I'll get photos tomorrow -- though they will be embarrassingly inadequate. It's so much coolness!

The text on the outside of the swap is from two sources - the orangey one is from Paul Reiser's book "Babyhood", and the page is a list of imaginative ways parents can accidentally harm their babies, which is rather funny. The other one is from a 1950s "family development" textbook (I lament not being able to use more of it in this package!), and says something like "If we are to look at woman as strictly a reproductive being [there's a problematic idea if ever there was one!], she spends the first 3rd of her life preparing for motherhood, the second 3rd being a mother, and the final 3rd alone."

Glad you like it!

This crafter is out of service most of the rest of 2015 due to a wild schedule. Feel free to contact me re personal swaps or just checking in. I'll be popping in when I can.

shoes on the cat

Hilarious. and so well-made!

And the shrine to The Blessed UnVirgin Margaret, Our Lady of Sanger, is so splendid.

OK, I just realized that in the bottom right hand corner of the inside of the shrine is a wire representation of the female reproductive system.  Genius!

Aha!  I knew it was somehow related but never looked at it enough to get down to what it was.  Also,  I took pictures before I sent if you want me to post them?
