Thursday is my free day, so that's when I will start crafting for real... Of course I have been nibbling on it though...

I'm severely tempted to buy some bias tape (have enough in two colors, would prefer to have enough in a single color).  Undecided  But I won't. I might make bias tape of my own instead...

I could probably do crafted gifts for the majority of my people, but I'm worried about that holiday gift disappointment thread.  Undecided

after a 3 day trip through portland, i resisted buying ALL of the perfect little bits and bobs that would be perfect additions to my package. phew, that was tough.

and, i have completed one project, two others in the works. i'm hoping to spend the next rainy weekend at the sewing machine...

Crafts make us feel rooted, give us a sense of belonging and connect us with our history.  Our ancestors used to create these crafts out of necessity, and now we do them for fun... to express ourselves.

I hate to admit it, but I will be going out on Black Friday.  I do very little shopping on that day, but I do go out to buy one or two things.  When DD wants an MP3 player, and I can get it for $50 on black friday, or $70-90 the day after, it's not a difficult decision to make.  I do go with a list, and only buy the things on my list (and if the line's too long, I put it back and live without).

If I could get the things my family wants without going out that day (or spending a lot more), though, I'd happily skip black friday.  Shopping with a mob is not my idea of fun.

Made more progress with one of my items.  While I'm still deciding on the other item, once I decide what to make, it'll take no time at all.  I'm planning on mailing out Thursday (on the way to work).
