My second stab at using real dog fur, but this time I used a lot more as I was given quite a bit of it. So about 75% of it is actually poodle fur. I mixed the fur with some natural sheep wool (that happened to match perfectly) and I used it for the base of the sculpture. Then I used just the fur over the top, on the ears and on top of the head.

Here is the fur I was given (in the bag) and the sheep wool:

And here is the finished sculpture:

And the actual poodle:

I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.  Smiley

That is fantastic!  I have an apricot poodle and would be all over that!
If it were apricot in color and had a little pom pom on the tail it would look just like my little Buster!  Amazing job!

omg feltpets I love your creations! The poodle is as awesome as your other felt animals Smiley

I am collecting the fur of my Border Collie since I got him 4 month ago and will try something like your poodle. However I do not think mine will turn out as awesome as yours Smiley

Now I want a poodle as well Wink

Totally hitting 'this rocks', keep up the good work!

How cute!  Great use of poodle fur on the ears!   You have managed to capture a cool inquisitive look!  Adorable!
