I absolutely love sports photography and any photography involving action.  Plus I love all things extreme sports, buuut since I'm usually actually participating in the extreme sports, I rarely get a chance behind the lens.  I took a trip out to CA for a skydiving boogie (skydiving all day long!), but on a bad weather day, got a chance to cross over the mountains and head to the beach.

As much as I would have liked to have gone surfing with these guys, I left my wetsuit back in Florida.  And there's the fact that I'm not so good at surfing yet.  Soo, I decided to snap some photos as well.  I'm pretty happy with them since I have a digital point and shoot...someday I'll have a real camera!!

San Clemente, CA pier.

Dipping into the curl...ooooh I wish I were him!!

But not as much as I wish I were him!!

We do NOT get tubes like this in Florida!!

This smartie kept shooting the pier all day long.  Nothing like the kiss of a few barnacles on your skin to make you feel alive...pshaw.

And one last shot of the beach.  It really did get sunny there, but there was so much fog (smog?) lifting that morning!

It's a moat.  Filled with badgers.

Beautiful - looks very moody with the fog/smog. Smiley

Nice shots! I grew up just south of there in Oceanside. I miss the ocean. Thanks for the flashback! Smiley
