This is beautiful! It reminds me a lot of Hussein Chalayan dress from 2000 spring collection:

I've never hit the 'this rocks' button more than once for anything...yours I did.  I don't do clothes at all, but this is totally inspiring.  The use of unusual materials for a dress is wonderful and the dress is a beautiful piece of art.
