This is the quilt I made for my grandson, Kody.  The picture on it is one Kody drew of himself skateboarding.  I copied it onto muslin from my computer and added some random blocks to it.  I used a lot of plaids trying to keep it masculine for him.  The quilt hanging on the wall behind Kody is one I made completely by hand.  It originally was going to be made of 3/4 inch blocks but after making five blocks with 100 squares in each block, I decided I would use different size blocks to finish it.  I backed it with flannel so it is real cozy.  I call it "around the block".

That is such a great idea!  I love how you did it.  What a great gift from a great grandma.

Also, the one hanging behind him looks so so comfortable.

Thats adorable!  He looks very proud. Smiley

I love all the little squares on the hanging quilt.  I'd love to have one like that on my bed.

Cool idea!  A nice boy quilt too with all the plaids.

That's a great boy quilt.  I love it when kids' artwork is turned into something new and useful.  Comfy's always cool too.

And the one behind him...that's just perfect.

What a cutie you have for a grandson. His drawing will keep him cozy, and I will bet he keeps this quilt forever. You are a very fun grandma.
