Hey guys,
I am looking to make an infinite dress, a la the Marilyn, http://www.monifc.com/marilyn-convertible-dress.html. They seem to be- though I am not really sure- more than just a tube with some long triangles. I did a search but most of the questions were in the regular clothing section, and it seems to me that sometimes plus sized ladies need a different style or a little more structure to look good. Any hints or tips? Watching videos on youtube mostly showed the style on skinny girls.

Also, if making a dress like this, what is the best fabric for non-wrinkly dresses? I hope to look like a million bucks, or least $250.

Willing to buy patterns, or find books with patterns in them.

From the way those voluptuous lady's boobs look, I'd say they are wearing a bustier underneath the convertible dress. It's not totally impossible to build a bustier into the upper tube part of an infinite dress for supporting the girls, just more work.

Have you been all over this thread?

There are quite a few variations that can be made to the basic design Cheesy Click the "show images only" tab at the top of the post for other people's versions.

I just made one and it didn't quite cover the girls so I just ripped the seams out and was going to attach some new straps that are wider and gather them so they can go around better.  The MonifC ones look like that to me.  Other wise I just followed this tutorial http://rowena.typepad.com/rostitchery/infinity-dress.html
