These are amazing! I love original takes on traditional crochet techniques - projects like this are exactly what crochet needs. You've done a wonderful job, and thanks for writing up a pattern! I just found your blog and it's got some wonderful things I can't wait to add to my Ravelry queue!

I love the fact that you can  kind of "make new with the old" and there are SO many options with crochet ... :-P

I can't wait until I'm at a stage in crochet where I can start to come up with patterns. I think I'm almost there, I just need to get over the "where do I start??" hump.

my mouth dropped when I saw those. I am so jealous!! A friend made me a pair similar to those a couple of years ago but they unraveled? any tips? (I learned how to make them, but not how to make them stronger)
