So i needed something pretty to wear out on the weekend and i've had this DREAM SKIRT in my mind for weeks...

I couldn't find a pattern for it anywhere *tear* so i took the plunge and started with the pleats...

please excuse my trashed apartment in these pics!!  Embarrassed

I figured i could just construct the rest of the skirt around the pleats! And since it was super stretchy material, it left a bit of room for error!

The front...

and the back...

since there was no-one around to help me take photos, this is actually me wearing the skirt backwards...  Cheesy
I love the way it clings and then goes all fish tail like at the knee... i'll try get some better shots, if any one wants to see them!

It's my first completed clothing project, so any advice would be awesome!!

Thanks,
xx
hahaha!

That's beyond cute! I love the shape of the skirt. And pleats? That are even? You go! I tried pleats once and they almost killed me Smiley

that is a great skirt!

There's something very satisfying about finishing a garment with pleats.

great job on both design and construction
