I decided to be Eve, as in Adam and Eve, for Halloween this year. I made my costume with peach-colored polyester dupioni and some green flannel for my fig leaf. The snake is made of velvety stretch jersey, lots of stuffing, and red felt for the tongue. He still needs some eyes though.

Oh, and I used McCall's 3514 for the dress, but I took it in at the sides to be less voluminous and made it a good deal shorter than the pattern called for!

I love it!  With your hair not quite down to your chest, though, it'd be cute to make fig leaf pasties too.  Good idea with the skin-colored dress.  That's a nice modest way to approach the costume!
