So i've had a weird schedule this week: off sat, off sun night, off mon, work @ 5pm tues, and off today.  So that means I've been busy sewing.  Mostly 13 poodle skirts.  But because the girls who need them are on vaca (middle school) I can't finish them (add poodles and adjust length/waists).  So I went back to bags.

First I bought some fabric to make myself and a coworker matching purses...

Then one of my mother's coworkers asked me to make a bag similar to one she already had, with some minor adjustments.

A friend/coworker of my sister just had a baby.  So I made her a tote, changing pad and blanket

So soft minky on the back Smiley

I bought some clearence fabric that I've been loving forever, and chose a pattern I had on hand

I'm soooo pissed that the plaid on the front flap is crooked Sad  I'm thinking of ripping it off and just doing it with the brown also.  I had been sooo careful when lining up the plaid with the front/back of the bag, I must have just been too tired to realize the flap was super important too.

So all in all a pretty productive "weekend" for me Smiley

I love the baby stuff! The zoo animals are such a cute theme. Did your friend pick that or did you just do it? And what's the print on the changing pad?

And your plaid matching up story made me laugh.  Grin

I love the animal prints, and she has a similar theme, so i picked it out.  And the binding on the changing pad is actually the animals.  so they all match Smiley

I LOVE those first two. Mostly because I have a decorative pillow made of the same fabric Tongue

...that also has my friends blood all over it. Ugh. St. Patricks day was a mess.

The straps you use echo the dots in the fabric really well. They're awesome.
