So, I'm not getting married anytime soon, but I'm one of those chicks who's obsessed with planning. I'm really excited because I've finally found my dream dress, which I've sketched out and modified slightly in my sketches. Here's the original picture:
Pretty. =] I don't know the first thing about dressmaking. So, any tips on making the garment I have until...oh, forever, to make?
Tips: I want it to be a sort of extremely pale and possibly sparkling lavender, and my changes have included the addition of tiny flower embellishments and a layer of lace to the hem. (I hope that doesn't sound too gaudy, because it looks really beautiful on paper.)
At any rate, I realize I'll need an S-Line corset, which is awesome because I'm plenty sick of A-Lines. I want to know about material, fit, and patterns. You guys are amazing. Work your magic.
Any craftsters want to help out a very silly girl? She'll give you hugs!
