So I'm kind of friendly with the members of one of my favorite local bands. One day, the guitarist called me up to ask me to design his website. That was on a Tuesday. On Saturday, I went to see them at a gig and he fired me. (For a good reason! His brother created beenup2.com - he really didn't need my help.) Thus, this was born:

He cracked up when he saw me wearing it. Cheesy And one of the members of another band that played that day told me he wanted one, too. It bled a little bit, it was a rush job and on very thin fabric.

The day he fired me, he kept apologizing and telling me I'm his best friend (jokingly, of course). Thus, this was born:

I didn't think he'd actually wear it (after all, I made it as a joke), but he totally surprised me and did! I showed up one day and there he was on stage in my shirt. So here's the action shot:

And I made this one when I made the BFF one. This is my pride and joy. He and I both totally adore Arrested Development, and he is constantly doing a GOB impression ("What you need to know is...it's magic."), so I made this one:

I gave him this one and the BFF one on the same day, he wore this one the day I gave them to him, he wore the BFF one at a show four days later, just in case anybody was interested. Oh, and the on-stage action shot:

He's lucky he's thinner than me, because I totally wanted to keep it.

Feedback is always appreciated. Thanks for looking!

GOB! "A trick is something a whore does for money... or candy!"

Haha. Great shirt! I love that it's so simple yet recognizable. On a semi-related note, I got to ride a segway last summer and totally channeled GOB. It was awesome.

He's an indie musician, he's as broke as I am, hahaha. It's fine, I make shirts for him, he gives me his band's unreleased music. It works out for both of us.

lawnwranglergirl, that's awesome! I want to ride a segway just so I can roll away and say "what you need to know is...it's magic!" like he did in the extended pilot. It cracks me up every time.
