the back

I tried this from a tute at themayfly.com. I love to look at her stuff it seems all so inspired and perfect! It is a smocket (a smock with a pocket). http://www.themayfly.com/weblog/2007/02/happy_smocket.html

I fell in love with this fabric, it is part of the Moda 'Pumpkins Gone Wild' fabric line that came out this fall. I felt very naughty buying it, especially at full price!

If you try the tute it runs small so at the least lengthen the straps.

May our efforts reflect our values.
May the variety in life bring us joy.
May we seek to inspire not compete.
May we have happy hearts.

That is so so cute. I also love the fabric. I just splurged on some Alexander Henry fabric. I also had that feeling.

It's not what you know, but what you do with what you know that is important.

The smocket is super easy, give it a shot with something special and it will be hard to ruin! My strategy is to save the nicer stuff for the easiest patterns, and the clearance deals on the harder ones. That way I hedge my bets. Yes, it's Houston. I vowed to never do Zoo Boo again and we went to the Children's Museum instead. Seemed a waste of such nice weekend weather, but still very fun.

Thats a good plan! But right now everything I do is supposedly easy! Ha ha.

We did zoo boo on Sat. My first time (new to Houston) It seemed really busy going in (parked in the back by the golf course) but the exhibits weren't crowded. It was my first time at the zoo in the morning (10am), I think next time we will try to go at 9. The animals were much more active. Anyway this is totally off topic.

That's very cute, I really like that fabric.  Worth full price in my opinion!

I have a couple of girls that would love to wear that!  Nice job and the fabric was definitely worth the money.  Precious!
