My roomate is curently going threw chemo and I wanted to make something fun for her. I saw The Museum of Kichy Stiches:http://stitchymcyarnpants.com/moks06/?p=256 and couldn't resist the beer can hats. I remember my mother making them when I was a kid. And I believe she actually sold them at a local bar too. LOL Anyway, as we don't drink beer, and I didn't think diet coke cans were all that fun and I have been saving Arizona iced tea cans with thoughts of someday making something from them. So without further adoo, the Queen Cranky Pants hat: This one is from the head shaving party. Her daughter is the one in the background giggling. Note the hotflash scepter. And a few chemo caps. I didn't use a pattern.

What an awesome friend you are - that is just too funny!  I'm sure your roommate appreciates the comic relief - and the other caps are beautiful - you did a great job!

What a great idea! It looks like so much fun. The other caps are a lot of fun too.

I've never been through chemo but everything I've heard one needs all the help cheering up one can get. You are a nice roommate for doing all this. I wish your roommate the best.
