I've seen something like this before. I've also seen things like felt cakes (they are too cute) try searching them on livejournal! I don't think I have the links any more though sorry  Sad

I have a japanese book from the 80's that has these kind of felt animals, as well as a whole bunch of mini-dolls in that style. I could scan the patterns for you, just give me a day or so....
The book is called Lovable mini dolls, by Terumi Otaka. It's kinda hard to get hold of now.

I got that picture from ebay-I was doing a search for japanese felt books, I think...I would have so bought all the books but when you dont have a credit card and everyone else you know has a credit card is scared to use it on the net, its kinda hard to get it....
And the scans would be lovely!!!

The title of the one in this link is:

(The pink bit)          Doubutsu masukotto           =  Animal mascots

And the first green bit says "190 little friends" but I can't read the second part, sorry!

I hope this helps!

I own this book and really no longer need it if anyone is interested in buying it. I'll have to see what they are going for on ebay and drop it a couple of bucks.

It's really cute and helpful. The Japanese writing doesn't make it hard to complete the patterns.

I will post my picture as soon as I can, but I live in Korea and I just completed an amazingly cute! little felt animal/person. I kept the pattern, which was surprisingly easy and took me only about 1 hour to make, in total. The pattern (and all the felt + needle +thread) came in a package and only cost about $1.50!

I don't have a book, but I DO have similar interests and access to the cute-ness.
