I got this top in the sale ages ago.  No before pic, but it was plain with a neckline going straight across the top by my neck (slash neckline?).  Basically it was about the same as the back of the tshirt.  It looked odd and didn't suit me at all so I cut it out (very carefully) and then added the lace and bow to neaten it up and make it look more interesting.  I had some buttons I thought about adding in a cluster on one side too but thought it might look too busy.

I think it's cute as is. I wouldn't add buttons to it. It already looks great.
