Those look fantastic. And Dexter is a great show (made better by cupcakes)!

Well I'm already plotting for the season premiere months from now. I hate to make the same cupcakes, but these were so great. I wonder what else I could do.  Huh Maybe make some needles to stick in some of them.

I wonder if I could make black pasta and make little filled pasta pouches to look like black trash bags filled with body parts! Cheesy

Anyone else have ideas?

Reminiscent of the first series you could do 'finger' food...literally. Little cakes in the shape of fingers with the different coloured 'nail polish'...mmm tasty.

But I love the pasta idea!

oh i like that! I could use that classic halloween recipe for "witches fingers" http://www.britta.com/HW/HWr.html#fingers. and paint the almonds different colors.

I've thought of other ideas too. Here are a few

-cover the walls with large sheets of plastic wrap
-crime scene tape is a must
-framed blood spatter
-blood orange cocktails
-maybe some donuts

and for actual non dessert food maybe I should make some sort of Cuban food

That sounds awesome and those fingers look tasty, but I especially love what you might do with the walls.
As everything would be covered in plastic you could always have a water gun fight with red dyed water!
Fun times!

You could also attempt to make the sandwiches and the meidanoche from Dearly Devoted Dexter...they sound scrumptious. But Cuban food is always a winner.

I wish I knew more people who watch the beloved Dexter as your party sounds AMAZING!

They just released the trailer for the new seaon! Oh man it is going to rock! You can see it here- http://www.sho.com/site/dexter/comiccon/home.do?source=m_dexter_cc_facebook

So I'm thinking about makign blood spatter plates too. If I can get those clear plastic plates I could spatter red paint on the underside and that way it would still be food safe!

I'm definitely going to make the cuban sandwiches with maybe some plantain chips or something. I've got 2 months left to plan for all this. Fun!
