Ok I have seen many of these on craftster and have always wanted to make one.I need to work on the legs because its a little wobbly but im dead set on 3 legs so i might just have to accept that.I got the blue suitcase at a garage sale for 5 bucks and used some legs from an old ikea stool.alot of painters tape and plastic spray paint ond here it is.I love it! I  love how sleek it is.

Oh yeah it still opens but I still need to re cover the inside with some nicer fabric

very fun! if I had the heart to do it, lol I'd do the same to the suitcase i have that matches yours in it's former glory.  But I'm truly a nerd and still use it for travelling (that bright blue hardside is easy to spot in the airport lol)

I am almost completely positive that I had that same suitcase like 9 ish years ago, and it was bought at a thrift store then! haha, good job keeping it vintage, it looks great!
