So it was supposed to rain the other day and I had my rain pants and rain coat, but nothing to keep my bag from getting soaked on my ride to work.....the stores were all closed so I needed to improvise. I remembered some old army-issue rainpants I bought a year ago that were so not breathable, so I never really wore them. I laid them out and came up with this:

I couldn't be happier!! each leg made one pack cover.

That's so wonderful!! Sometimes I have to take my computer with me to school, and I worry about the rain, one of those would be perfect for added protection from the elements!!

We do a lot of hiking, so getting caught in the rain is just a given.

Each time I look into buying 'proper' covers, I cringe at the price. But these could be done for so much less! Thanks for giving me another way to look at the problem.  Smiley
