I received SnB for christmas and learned to knit from it the next day.  I started this sweater a few days before new years and now it's finally finished!  Except not in this picture.  I wanted to wait to post until I had a bunch of photos of me modelling the finished sweater, but my parents snatched their camera back from me yesterday (they're going on vacation today.)

Anyway, so here it is yesterday with just one sleeve to go.  It's all knitted up now and I pan to finish it all up tonight.

I'm a big fan of bright colors.  The blue is actually more of a cerulean...and yes, it is all knit in acrylic.  I'm a really, really poor college student and this hobby is expensive for me as it is.  It's very wearable though, I think it's Bernat, and the whole thing cost me less than $8.
I had to make adjustments for the difference in gauge and pretty much just winged the sleeves, but it all came out fine except for a few boo boos here and there.  I don't mind though.

I have my next sweater halfway done, I'm sort of half making it up, half loosely basing it on the big sack sweater.  We'll see how it goes.

I also have a dinosaur hat very loosely based on kittyville on the finished knitting projects board.

Awesome sweaters Smiley
And I've been planning to make Skully in the opposite colors! (or pink/purple) I love the way yours turned out- the green skulls make a nice contrast to the blue.

Looks really good. I love the colors you used. The blue and green go well together.

I'm also doing Skully (sans the skulls-heh) and I'm SO tired of it.

Noellejulie, I re-ally really like the colors you used for the Skully. You've inspired me to put it on my list of to do projects.  Fab job!

Really like the way your skully turned out. That's the next project I want to tackle. Never would have thought of the crazy colors, though, but they turned out awesome!
