I love my art supplies and hate to have them buried away in ugly plastic or cardboard boxes.  Beauty in all things!  My ribbons were migrating from sad container to sad container, vase to box to bag, and they really just wanted to be looked at.

I took a board that I had hanging around, marked off stripes with masking tape and painted.  Then moved masking tape to cover newly painted stripes and did the blanks.  It's in shades of a chartreuse and a deep wine red both moving paler.  I ended by nailing in a brad at each line.  The finishing on top is a little crass, but I couldn't find my staple gun at the time.  Eventually I'll probably change it.

Wow, that's so pretty!
It's so bright and fun.
Can the ribbons be easily removed (if you choose to craftify them)?

I want your lungs to stop working without me.

Stargirl, it looks like the ribbons are just hanging off the brads (brads are like tiny nails)

Very cool idea Smiley I wish I had flat walls. Mine slant in the middle because this used to be an attic so it's hard to hang things

Like the look. Very clever.

Not for the crafter with a cat, tho. I could just see what that would look like after my little monster, I mean sweet lovable baby, found it.

Thanks all for the comments!

Ashley-Mae, I'm also in an attic room -- I love the slanting walls/ceilings.  Mine lose the vertical at about 5 feet.

Stargirl, Crazy BC Jen has it right.  They're just hanging from the brads.

And itscribe, I agree about the cats.  We've got three but luckily they find my room boring; we'll see if this makes it anymore interesting for them.

That's a great idea, I've been doing that with my belts and scarves and such recently. I LOVE to have everything out in plain view to prettify things. Your ribbons are gorgeous.
